Russian President to be informed about problems of residents of Chechnya displaced to Ingushetia

Russian President's Commission on Human Rights is preparing materials on the problems of people displaced from the Chechen Republic to Ingushetia and will hand these documents over to the President, chairwoman of the commission Ella Pamfilova told a press conference on February 10. "Our task is to inform the head of state about the real picture of what is happening in Ingushetia and Chechnya," she noted.

Svetlana Gannushkina, a member of the Commission on Human Rights and member of the Memorial human rights center, added that the task of the commission was not to serve the President, but to help the President serve the society."
