In Ingushetia, hurricane tears off the roof of district hospital

Tonight, in the village of Ordjonikidzevskaya, Sunzha District of Ingushetia, strong wind de-roofed the cardiology unit of the district hospital; the patients were evacuated.

According to a source from the republic's Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), the squall wind was up to 20 meters per second and accompanied by thunderstorm. According to his story, the nature damaged a number of state buildings; in particular, "the roof of the cardiology unit of the Sunzha Central District Hospital was torn away."

About 40 patients were evacuated from the cardiology unit; according to the source, none of them and hospital staff was hurt: the patients were placed into other units; some of them were discharged home.

"According to preliminary data, some damage was caused to private houses, and trees got felled," the source has added.

The press service of the MfE has reported that now the damage is being appraised. "This data will be ready and summed up by tomorrow morning. Our people are now busy in localities," the RIA "Novosti" quotes its source from the press service.

The LifeNews adds that the repairs will be on the district administration.
