According to Sergey Kharlanov, Deputy Chief of the Sochi Bailiff Service, since 2011, in Sochi, about 500 "small unauthorized facilities" were demolished.

"Half of them were demolished due to construction of Olympic facilities. Other unauthorized structures have not been legalized by the courts and represent subjects to demolition. Like, for example, about 100 single-storey garages in Makarenko Street," Sergey Kharlanov has emphasized.

"Since 2007, the Bailiff Service has under proceedings 280 court decisions on demolition or seizure. Last year, only one large seven-storey building in Klubnichnaya Street was demolished. However, not always initiated court proceedings can be executed, since decisions of higher courts, cancelling that decisions, and, therefore, initiated executive proceedings, appear," Sergey Kharlanov stated.

According to him, in this year, only two large unauthorized facilities were demolished.
