Peacekeeping force command consider Georgian Interior Minister's statement groundless

The peacekeeping force command consider the statement by Georgian Interior Minister Georgy Baramidze about the "extremely destructive" role of the Russian peacekeeping force and its involvement in smuggling to be groundless. "Such attacks are nothing else but an attempt to discredit the Russian servicemen' peacekeeping mission," the command holds. Repeated thanks from the Georgian side to the CIS Peacekeeping Forces personnel for the execution of tasks to maintain peace in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone contradict to such an appraisal.
