According to Nurmagomedova, a scuffle started as a result. She said that the conflict continued in Donskaya street where the Dagestanies were called to apologize before the girl and her husband. “Six persons were beaten up by about 300 representatives of the Armenian diaspora”, the activist said.

The representative of the Dagestani community pointed out, 27 Dagestanies, including those who had nothing to do with the scuffle, were detained. According to the detainees, they were beaten up in the police department, Nurmagomedova added.

“Today all the detained Dagestanies and Chechens are at large but Yury Garanyan’s real murderer is at large, too”, the representative of the Dagestani Cultural Center concluded and on behalf of the Dagestani community of Sochi suggested that representatives of different communities should meet and discuss the question of peaceful coexistence.
