Volgograd: teenager killed by explosion of unidentified device

In the Soviet District of Volgograd, in one of the private houses, an explosion of unidentified device occurred. As a result, a 16-year-old teenager got serious injuries and died in hospital.

The incident occurred at about 3:00 p.m. Moscow time in the residential settlement of Maxim Gorky.

According to preliminary information, the explosion of unidentified device occurred at moment, when the teenager was at home, the "Interfax" reports.

The minor boy got serious injuries traumatic brain injury, and, besides, as a result of explosion, his hand was torn off. The victim was immediately brought to the resuscitation ward of medical institution, where he died without regaining consciousness.

At present, investigatory team, consisting of investigators and forensic investigators of the Investigatory Department, officers of the Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), and professional combat engineers, went to the place of the incident, the website of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports.
