In Sochi, Elena Spasskaya's husband files complain to Putin's office

Artur Dashyan, the husband of Elena Spasskaya, Director of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise (MUE) "Directorate of Shopping Mall Service", has sent an appeal to the office of Vladimir Putin against the actions of the investigatory authorities in Sochi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Elena Spasskaya, Director of the MUE "Directorate of Shopping Mall Service", and entrepreneur Mikhail Batrakov are accused of fraud committed on a large scale. On March 28, Elena Spasskaya underwent surgery at the oncology hospital in Sochi. On April 3, the court session on her case was postponed because of poor health of the accused woman. On May 10, the trial on the case against Elena Spasskaya was postponed because of absence of a witness.

Artur Dashyan fears for life and health of his wife, and he told about that the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"I have decided to appeal to the President of the Russian Federation, since I have a real fear for life and health of my wife, who, after three surgeries in oncology, since last December is being kept in SIZO (pre-trial prison) without any legal justification," says Artur Dashyan.

On May 10-12, the summer residence of Vladimir Putin at Bocharov Ruchei receives citizens. On May 10, the President arrived in Sochi with a visit.

"The most precious that every person has is his/her constitutional right to life and health. The President of the Russian Federation is the guarantor of the Constitution, so, I addressed my appeal to his name. Since officials in Sochi, on whom the fate of my wife depends, refuse to understand the fact and to act in accordance with the law," says the husband of Elena Spasskaya.

At the office of the President of Russian Federation, Artur Dashyan was met by Alexander Kozyrenko, a staff member of the office of the President of the Russian Federation, and he promised to carefully study the question raised in the appeal filed by Artur Dashyan.

Alexander Kozyrenko also reported that Vladimir Putin does not hold personal meetings with the citizens in Sochi. However, according to the official, all appeals filed to the on-site office of the President of Russian Federation are being carefully analyzed by staff members of the office, and then, basing on the results, they present a report to Vladimir Putin on the merits of appeals.

On May 10, the complaint about violation of the Criminal and Procedural Code committed by investigators in Sochi, which was filed by the husband of Elena Spasskaya, was accepted for consideration of the on-site office of the President of Russian Federation at Bocharov Ruchei. "In 10 days, Dashyan will receive a response, which would inform him of the measures taken to settle his appeal," says Alexander Kozyrenko.
