13 people became victims of armed confrontation in Northern Caucasus during the period from April, 30, till May, 6

At least 13 persons perished and over 100 got wounded during the period from April, 30, till May, 6, as a result of armed confrontation in Northern Caucasus. These are the totals of calculation by the “Caucasian Knot” based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Explosions and acts of terror

A double act of terror was committed in the evening of May, 3, in Makhachkala. Over 100 people became victims, as a result, 13 out of them perished. The terror was committed by suicide bombers, brother and sister: a twenty-three-years-old Rizvan and a nineteen-years-old Muslimat Alieva.

On May, 6, a car blasted in Akushinsky street of Makhachkala. The driver got injured. He was hospitalized with a wounding in his legs.

On May, 3, an explosion happened in a highway in Shamaiil district of Dagestan the moment a son of the imam of the Mosque in Buinaksk who perished this March was driving along. There were no victims. The incident took place in the highway between the settlements of Khebda and Nizhny Batlukh.

On May, 1, an unidentified explosive device was activated in one of the private cafés in “Caucasus” federal highway, in the territory of the Republic of Ingushetia. There were no victims . The incident took place not far from the settlement of Gazi-Yurt, Nazran district.

At night of May, 1, a remotely-operated bomb exploded in a private house in Buinaksk. There are no victims or injured persons.

On May, 1, law enforcement personnel defused a home-made explosive device put under the bottom of a truck trailer. The mined “KamAz” was parked in Aeroportnoye road street near “Impulse” filling station.

A home-made bomb was activated on May, 5, in one of the central streets of the town of Buinaksk. There are no victims or injured persons.

Detentions

On May, 1, law enforcement personnel of Chechnya in Achkhoy-Martan district detained a supposed accomplice of participants of paramilitary groups, a resident of the settlement of Samashki aged 20. The detainee delivered up to the operative agents a hiding place with food stored for gunmen.

On May, 3, members of power ministries in Dagestan detained a man with a trotyl block and a detonator. The citizen born in 1985 who had a trotyl block of 200 gram weight, an industrial detonator and a mobile with brought out wires on him was detained in Bogatyreva street of Derbent.

A resident of Khasavyurt detained by law enforcement officers on May, 2, showed them two hiding places with ammunition.

Kidnapping

On May, 2, resident of the settlement of Zubutli-Niatli, Kizilyurt district of Dagestan, Zukhra Mutaeva reported that her husband Kamil Mutaev aged 36 was kidnapped by armed and masked people wearing camouflage uniforms and carried away in an unknown direction.

On May, 3, unidentified armed people carried away in an unknown direction resident of Derbent Djavar Khanmagomedov. His relatives do not rule out that power-wielding structures are involved in this abduction.
