After check of Prosecutor's Office, hundreds of retail outlets in Grozny stopped their work

The Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya has checked retail outlets located in the territory of the republic, which resulted in suspension of more than one hundred such entities only in Grozny. It was found that many entrepreneurs failed to officially hire their staff; and some shops were built without official permission of the authorities.

As a result of the inspections conducted by a special interdepartmental commission on March 19-20, shops, shopping kiosks and cafes were closed in Chechnya. In Grozny, the activities of more than 1500 commercial entities were suspended. Five hundred of them managed to resume their work after elimination of drawbacks.

The Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya has checked the information posted on the "Caucasian Knot" about the mass closure of shops, cafes and kiosks that followed the raids of the special interdepartmental commission, told a source from the Office. According to his story, during the checks it was revealed that facts of attracting people to perform work without the proper registration of labour relations were widespread in the republic.

Meanwhile, as the "Caucasian Knot" was told by one of the victims, many of those whose shops were closed at the time of inspections blame the members of the commission of violations and biased attitude, because "they knew in advance, whose stores could be closed, and whose ones should be better passed by."

"My kiosk is idling for a month; I had to either sell my goods for nothing, or just to give them out free of charge. The reason – according to inspectors – is in bad working conditions. The room is allegedly too narrow; but how I could eliminate this violation, they didn't explain," a mistress of one of the kiosks in Grozny complained.
