Krasnodar: opposition activists are blamed for wilful damaging their passports

Law enforcers have drawn up administrative protocols against participants of the sit-in strike "We didn't elect him!" – members of the local branch of the "Yabloko" Party Alexei Mandrigel and Dmitry Shestochenko. At first, the activists were several times poured with water by means of special equipment, and then they were accused of deliberate damaging their passports with water.

The activists chanted no appeals; they had no posters; they were just sitting on the sidewalk in front of the monument. Dmitry Shestochenko's white T-shirt had an inscription: "Russia without Putin"; while Alexei Mandrigel held a balloon with an image of the tricolour and the word "Russia". The action was watched by more than a dozen of administration officials and policemen.

The eyewitnesses have reported that in the first minutes of the action, the protesters were approached by one of the bosses of the city police, who warned them that if they try to hold an action that needs coordination, they would be detained. Immediately thereafter, the territory near the building of the territorial administration was poured with water from a watering machine.

According to the members of the regional branch of "Yabloko", the special vehicle eight times with the strongest pressure deliberately poured cold water on the young people; and the driver was also videoing the incident. Activists point out that there were no warnings or requests to make room for the communal vehicle to wash the place.

The moment of "showering" the activists was videoed and photographed. The video posted on the Youtube clearly shows that the car, which goes around the monument watering the sidewalk, vividly decelerates near Alexei Mandrigel, who is sitting on the ground, and for 20-30 seconds keeps pouring him with 1.5-meter wide flow of water at strong pressure.

According to the version of employees of the "Kubandorblagoustroystvo", the works to clean the city were performed in the square, while the activists, who got under the high-pressure sprays, were deliberately interfering with the work of public services.
