Azerbaijan: soldier kills two and wounds two fellow soldiers

A soldier of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan opened automatic fire at his comrades-in-arms and killed two soldiers and wounded two more, the local Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported.

The incident occurred in the military unit of the MoD, stationed part of the Ministry of Defence, located in the city of Goygol.

As reported by the APA News Agency, Vyugar Mamedov, a soldier of the National Army, killed from his service submachine gun Pyunkhan Nagizade (who was recruited from the Military Commissariat of the Imishli District) and Museib Guseinov (the Military Commissariat of the city of Sumgait), and wounded Elchin Ragimov (the Military Commissariat of the Surakhani District of Baku) and Malik Melikov (the Military Commissariat of Sabirabad).

The gunman was arrested; and a criminal case was initiated. The Commission of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan is investigating the incident, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
