All the six militants killed during the special operation conducted on April 2-4 in Dagestan, have been identified; all of them were members of the Sergokala grouping, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (ANC) has reported today.

On April 2, according to the NAC, during armed clashes in the Sergokala District of Dagestan, Rashid Gazaliev (Muaz), his cousin Magomed Gazaliev and Salman Budaichiev (known under his Islamic name of Khuzeifa) were killed. On April 3, three kilometres off the village of Kadyrkent, Sergokala District, unidentified persons shelled servicemen of the interior troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation. The response fire was opened, resulting in the murder of three attackers and one serviceman.

Power agents have established that the casualties of April 3 include Ruslan Kapiev, born in 1984, a native of the village of Sergokala, Sergokala District (also known under the nickname of Adam) and an active member of the underground since April 2011. According to operative data, he was involved in the murder on May 2, 2011, of Nasrula Magomedov, the head of the Sergokala ROVD (District Interior Division).

They also identified the body of Ilyas Zakaryaev, born in 1984, a native of Sergokala (also known as Abdulaziz), who, according to power agents, on May 4, 2011, took part in shelling of police dog handlers, resulting in the death of one employee. According to operative data, Zakaryaev took part, together with Kapiev, in the murder of the head of the Sergokala ROVD.

Also, the death toll includes Yusuf Khalimbekov, born in 1995, who left his home in the village of Burdeki, Sergokala District, under the influence of militants' propaganda five days ago.

According to power agents, all the casualties were members of the grouping under command of the Turkish mercenary Mukhanned, also known as "Sheikh Abdusalam". The grouping was involved in a number of terror crimes, murder attempts and murders of civilians, churchmen, militaries and policemen, as well as in extortions.

Regarding the earlier identified persons, the NAC reports that Rashid Gazaliev was an active member of the grouping; Magomed Gazaliev was a militants' accomplice; and Salman Budaichiev was "recruited" by militants and joined them in June 2010, when he came from the Chelyabinsk Region to the wedding of his cousin, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

The position of casualties' relatives is unknown yet.
