Chechnya's Prosecutor's Office demands to punish officials guilty of water supply outages

The Office has made a presentation to the head of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise (MUE) "Gorvodocanal" based on complaints of residents of the Staropromyslovsky District of Grozny on absence of water. The grounds for the prosecutor's check were found in the materials published by the "Caucasian Knot".

Let us remind you that in March, residents of the townships of Katayama Avtotrest of the Staropromyslovsky District of the capital of Chechnya reported that they had no water. "We regularly receive utility bills, including those on water consumption, but we have none of it," a resident of Katayama told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

On the demand of Abdul Kadyrov, the Acting General Public Prosecutor of Chechnya, the Prosecutor's Office of the Staropromyslovsky District of Grozny conducted a check on the appeal of district residents published by the "Caucasian Knot" about poor quality provision of public water supply services, the website of the Office reported March 23.

On the identified violations, a prescription was made to the head of the MUE "Gorvodocanal" to eliminate the revealed drawbacks and undertake disciplinary punishment of the officials in charge.

At the same time, an administrative case was opened against the shop manager at the MUE "Gorvodocanal" under the article of "violation of the norms of providing public with utility services". The act of prosecutor's reaction is under consideration.
