Military equipment is brought to Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan, local residents report

People see a large accumulation of military machinery and servicemen in the Karabudakhkent District, Valimagomed Iziev, a resident of the village of Karabudakhkent, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"We haven't seen that before: the entire highway was full of tanks, APCs (armoured personnel carriers) and armoured trucks," said Mr Iziev.

According to his story, now the militaries are stationed in the vicinity of Karabudakhkent in a tent camp; and since Monday the district schools will stop for vacations, although date for the start of vacations is March 20.

"They said that the school premises will be occupied by power agents," the villager has added.

The on duty unit of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) refused to make any comments on the deployment of military equipment in the Karabudakhkent District.
