Ingush leader and North-Ossetian MIA respond to bloggers' questions about Zalina Elkhoroeva's fate

Ingushetian bloggers conduct the network flash mob entitled "Where is Zalina Elkhoroeva?" in an attempt to clarify the fate of the Ingushetian woman-resident, who was kidnapped in North Ossetia. The participants of the action asked about the fate of Zalina Elkhoroeva directly the Ingushetian leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov and Taimuraz Mamsurov, the leader of North Ossetia, on their pages in "Live Journal" and "Twitter" and received the response.

Let us remind you that on December 22, 2010, the 30-year-old Zalina Elkhoroeva was kidnapped in the village of Chermen of the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia. The father of the kidnapped woman-residents of Ingushetia told human rights defenders that he had "no access" to the republic's leader and that all other officials claimed "being not competent".

According to the woman's relatives, Zalina Elkhoroeva was kidnapped by unidentified persons in masks at the moment, when she returned from Vladikavkaz in a taxi. According to the her father, she went to the capital of North Ossetia to visit her brother Timur Elkhoroev, who was kept in the local SIZO (pre-trial prison) on suspicion of terrorism.

Later, Timur Elkhoroev was convicted for involvement in the illegal armed formation (IAF) for four years of imprisonment.

In April 2011, the human rights defenders from Ingushetia initiated discussion in the European Parliament of the situation with the kidnapping of Zalina Elkhoroeva and other residents of Northern Caucasus. According to Ibragim Lyanov, the human rights defender, representing the interests of Ingushetian residents in Europe, on December 27, 2010, the Ingushetian leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov was reported that Zalina was kept in the SIZO of Vladikavkaz.

In January 2011, Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the human rights organization "MASHR", emphasized that the detention of Zalina was illegal and that no charges were filed against her.

Bloggers write to Evkurov in "Live Journal" and to Mamsurov in "Twitter"

Since December 2010, the fate of the woman remains unknown; therefore, the Ingushetian bloggers decided to draw public attention to the situation with her kidnapping and organized the network flash mob entitled "Where is Zalina Elkhoroeva?".

The blogger tamerson was the author of the action. He called people to try to clarify the fate of Zalina Elkhoroeva using the flash mob on the Internet.

The bloggers began the action with comments on the page of Yunus-Bek Evkurov in "Live Journal".

Taimuraz Mamsurov, the leader of North Ossetia was also asked in "Twitter" about the fate of the woman.

Leader of Ingushetia and Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Ossetia responded

On January 31, the leader of Ingushetia replied in his blog to all those interested in the fate of Zalina Elkhoroeva. He wrote a post of five points.

In particular, Yunus-Bek Evkurov has emphasized that "he also wish Zalina Elkhoroeva to be found" and that "all mechanisms provided by the law are being used for that."

In his post, Yunus-Bek Evkurov asked "not to believe what they wrote" and said that the situation with Zalina Elkhoroeva "involved too many unclear facts".

Taimuraz Mamsurov has not yet responded to the participants of the flash mob in his "Twitter".

However, on February 1, the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of North Ossetia published the message of its press service, which reported on the receipt to the address of Taimuraz Mamsurov on the Internet numerous inquiries about the fate of Zalina Elkhoroeva.

After the flash mob of the bloggers, the MIA of North Ossetia comments on the situation with Zalina Elkhoroeva: "The MIA of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania very responsibly states that Zalina Elkhoroeva committed no crimes in the territory of the republic, respectively, she was not detained by members of the police of North Ossetia, and she had never been kept at the temporary detention facility (IVS). On February 7, 2011, on the fact of the obscure absence of Zalina Elkhoroeva, the Inter-District Investigatory Division of the Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania initiated a criminal case under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (kidnapping of a person)."

Zalina Elkhoroeva's fate remains unknown

"If anything became clear, we would give to know about that," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a representative of the investigatory authorities of North Ossetia.

Djambulat Ozdoev, Ombudsman in Ingushetia, knows about the flash mob of the Ingushetian bloggers. However, he also notes that the fate of the woman is still unknown.
