The investigative service in Armenia started considering a complaint of the deputies’ double voting

A Special Investigative service started considering a complaint of double voting of some deputies of the Parliament submitted by Center of Parliamentarism of Armenia. Head of the Center Ruben Torosyan does not even rule out an appeal to court.

According to Torosyan, this non-governmental organization is waiting for a decision of the Special Investigative service proceeding from which the question of an appeal to court will be decided.

“That is, in case of the second variant I will surely submit a lawsuit” Ruben Torosyan declared.

The signers of the complaint report cases when representatives of the fraction of the ruling Republican party of Armenia voted instead of their absent colleagues. Center of Parliamentarism of Armenia demands from the investigative bodies to call to account deputies from the fraction of the ruling RPA as follows: Ara Babloyan, Ermene Nagdelyan, Gagik Melikyan and Areg Gukasyan.

The above mentioned deputies deny their involvement in double voting. “There has been nothing of this kind”, Gagik Melikyan says.

Areg Gukasyan also refuted the fact of voting instead of his colleague absent at the session. “The say I was seen voting instead of Vardan Aivazyan but Aivazyan was in the hall at the moment”, he said.
