Investigators: Deputy Mufti of Stavropol Territory was killed by TNT explosion

A bomb was exploded under the car of Kurman Ismailov, Deputy Mufti of the Stavropol Territory. This was reported by Vladimir Markin, Spokesman of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this evening in Pyatigorsk, Kurman Ismailov, the famous Islamic scholar, Deputy Mufti of the Stavropol Territory, was killed in the car bombing. The basic version was a premeditated murder; however, later, it was reported that the Mufti could be killed after a road accident, in an explosion of gas cylinder.

According to the ICRF's information, Kurman Ismailov died from his car bombing.

"Investigators consider different versions of the committed crime, including those related to the activities carried out by Kurman Ismailov and to the personal animosity. In this regard, the investigators reveal his circle of contacts," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Vladimir Markin as saying.
