Inauguration of Alla Djioeva, ex-candidate for presidency in South Ossetia, fails

The inauguration of Alla Djioeva, scheduled for February 10, did not take place, since the previous day the OMON (riot police) fighters broke into the electoral headquarters of the opposition, and Alla Djioeva herself was hospitalized with a diagnosis of hypertensive crisis.

Alla Djioeva had expected this development, her supporters assert

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was reported by the supporters of the oppositional politician that the headquarters of Alla Djioeva were preparing for the inauguration and that everything was all thought out and prepared.

"We were sending invitations and accepting electronic greetings. Oleg Gazmanov sent us a congratulatory message by email. All would be perfect; however, we were not allowed to do that," said Liana Tedeeva, an Alla Djioeva's supporter.

According to the Alla Djioeva's supporters, she expected such an outcome and insisted that the headquarters would not give in to provocations. "On the eve of the inauguration, Alla Djioeva gathered all us in the hall and said that she might be arrested on the day of the inauguration. She warned us that in that situation we should behave within the law and in no case give in to provocations," said the women-activists of the headquarters, who preferred to remain anonymous.

Prosecutor's Office: Djambolat Tedeev insisted on rejection of inauguration

According to the Alla Djioeva's supporters, after the incident they have lost faith in patriotism, law, and democracy. They also emphasize that the most important thing for them is improvement of the Alla Djioeva's health.

Meanwhile, a source in the Prosecutor's Office in South Ossetia has reported that Alla Djioeva received a phone call from Djambolat Tedeev, the head coach of the Russian Wrestling Team, and told her to abandon the inauguration.

The "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of Djambolat Tedeev on the information of the Prosecutor's Office about his conversation with Alla Djioeva.
