Investigatory Committee: Dagestani resident kidnapped with the aim of robbery

Sirazhudin Aliev could be kidnapped for robbery, since the disappeared man left his house to obtain the debt. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the Investigatory Committee of Dagestan. However, the Aliev's mother claims that her son was kidnapped by power agents.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Tamara Alieva appealed to the Lenin ROVD (District Interior Division) of the city of Makhachkala, the prosecutor's office and the Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) with complaint about kidnapping of her son Sirazhudin Aliev and his friend Gazimagomed Abdullaev.

According to Tamara Alieva, on January 21, her son and his friend left the house and went to the Eastern Market of Makhachkala to withdraw money from the debtor. There, her son was kidnapped by armed men in Lada Priora cars.

According to the Republic's Investigatory Committee, on January 31 the Investigatory Division of the Lenin District of Makhachkala instituted a criminal case on the fact of disappearance of Sirazhudin Aliev, the resident of Makhachkala. The criminal case was instituted under Articles 162 (robbery) and 126 (kidnapping of a person) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

"The fact that law enforcement bodies report on the kidnapping of my son for robbery is not true, since no one knew that he went to get his debt. Besides, no one knew where he went. And the debt was small only 2000 roubles. They say all that to remove the guilt from themselves. I am sure that my son was kidnapped by law enforcement agents. Although my son had never been prosecuted, and he was not registered at the police station," stated Tamara Alieva.

The woman says that "only in seven days after she had filed her complaint, law enforcement agents went to inspect the place of the crime and to question witnesses."

"This is not the first time when victims face inaction of law enforcement bodies. I believe it is wrong that, when a person files a complaint about disappearance of another person, law enforcement agents say that three days should pass and only after that they can begin to take some actions in accordance with the law. By doing that, they violate human rights," believes Svetlana Isaeva, the head of the human rights organization "Mothers of Dagestan for Human Rights".
