Dagestani Prosecutor's Office demands consideration of Khaibula Khaibulaev's complaint

Zainudin Magomedsaigitov, Prosecutor of the Botlikh District, is recommended to more responsibly consider the complaint of Khaibula Khaibulaev, a resident of the village of Karata of the Akhvakh District, who complained of beating and search. This is stated by the official letter from the Prosecutor's Office, which Khaibula Khaibulaev received on February 4.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the incident occurred on August 16, 2009. According to Khaibula Khaibulaev, militiamen provoked him to the scandal at first by words and then by stroke into his face, and after that they brought him to the ROVD (District Interior Division), where they beat him and put in a one-man cell. In the morning of August 17, Khaibula Khaibulaev was brought to Magistrate Judge Nabiev, who issued a fine of one thousand roubles.

"At that time, Labazan Derbishev, Chief of the criminal investigation department of the OVD (Interior Division) of the Botlikh District, beat me so badly that I had to undergo medical treatment for a month. After that, the authorities revealed that he had nothing to be accused of: apparently, I had beaten me by myself. At present, Dagestani Prosecutor's Office requires that the local prosecutor's office expresses better quality in the consideration of my complaint," said Khaibula Khaibulaev to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"I wish to hope that it will be so, although I personally very much doubt about that," the victim has concluded.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Botlikh District has confirmed the receipt of the letter from the next higher authority.
