Mikhail Saakashvili officially assumes office of Georgian President
Mikhail Saakashvili officially assumed office of the Georgian President on January 25. During the official inauguration ceremony, he made a promise to protect the country's Constitution and care for security and well-being of its people. He named the restoration of Georgia's territorial integrity, extermination of poverty and corruption as the priorities in his activity. "My task is to make Georgia a united, stable and free state and home for all ethnic groups living in it," he emphasized.
