Parents of the lost members of power ministries in Kabardino-Balkaria called for the authorities to take over the control of the situation in the republic

Parents of lost servicemen of law enforcement bodies called for the authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria to take over the control of the situation in the republic, provide people with jobs and eliminate corruption. On January, 28, they held their first organizational meeting in the town of Baksan. About twenty persons took part in it.

According to resident of the settlement of Islamei Sufadin Shebzukhov, father of a killed officer of law enforcement bodies, the reason for the meeting was unceasing acts of terror committed in the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria. Shebzukhov said that the murder of airforce pilot Denis Nikolaev committed on January, 26, became the last drop which overflowed the cup of patience.

"We should have teamed up earlier for the authorities should hear what we say and what we think. We must no longer stay at home, we must declare at the top of our voices our demands to take over the control of the situation in Kabardino-Balkaria, provide people with jobs and eliminate corruption which has penetrated into all the spheres of our life", Shebzukhov said.

The parents of lost policemen first gathered on January, 18, the day of opening of a memorial plaque to the lost servicemen of law enforcement bodies who perished in the line of duty in the territory of Baksan district. On the same day they decided to meet on January, 28, and arrange holding a republican meeting.

We will remind that in the middle of January a committee "Mothers of Kabardino-Balkaria in Defense of the Citizens' Rights and Freedoms" was created. Mothers and other members of families of persons under trial for accusation of terrorism and the ones having a wanted notice became its members.

The committee adopted a resolution calling the for residents of the republic to unite. "We arrived at a conclusion that there was no body of power in our republic authorized to help us solve our problem, i.e. stop the war. There is not a single family in the republic which has not dealt with the problem. So let us integrate, unity is our force!", the resolution runs.

Talking to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent Head of the committee Mariam Ahmatova said that the members would like the relatives of the lost policemen to join them. "This is our common grief. We can oppose the evil only by joining our efforts. We mourn equally, regardless of who is killed: a policeman or a Moslem", our interlocutor said.
