Representatives of ICRC met with a sergeant of Military Forces of Azerbaijan detained in Nagorno-Karabakh

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited Azerbaijani military prisoner Akhunzade Mamedbagir Talyb oglu who is kept in Nagorno-Karabakh, Press secretary of the Mission of ICRC in Azerbaijan Khakhla Gahramanova informed.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that the Ministry of Defense of Nagorno-Karabakh stated that the citizen of Azerbaijan was detained at 15:30, January, 13, while crossing Karabakh side of the contact line. Later the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan confirmed the information of capturing lance sergeant of one of the military units of the country Mamedbagir Talyb oglu Akhunzade by Armenian servicemen in Karabakh.

The Azerbaijani Mission of MCRC confirmed the information of taking the Azerbaijani soldier prisoner by the Armenian party, IA "Novosti-Azerbaijan" reports.

Father of the captured Azerbaijani soldier Mamedbagir Akhunzade Talyb Akhundov declared that he did not believe that his son who had formerly served in the frontier troops and then continued service as a career soldier of National Army passed to the Armenian side on his own free will, AZE.az referring to ANS TV channel reports.
