A memorial to lost policemen opened in Baksan district of Kabardino-Balkaria

Yesterday, January, 18, a monumental complex in memory of the servicemen of "Baksan" inter-district Department of Interior Affairs who perished as a result of assaults of participants of paramilitary groups in the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria was opened in the town of Baksan.

There are 25 photos of lost members of the Ministry of Interior Affairs on the monument and 11 names are carved on it.

The participants of the mourning ceremony near the new memorial stated the necessity of integration of the efforts of the community and law enforcement bodies in their struggle against terrorism.

"We will do our best for the criminals not to inflict misery on our people, re-establish peace in Kabardino-Balkaria and make those guilty of the loss of the citizens of the republic liable for their crimes", Sergey Vasiliev, Minister of Interior Affairs in KBR, declared.

"Honour to the policemen who in a hard time rose in defense of the people of Kabardino-Balkaria. Risking their lives my son's friends do not submit reports of dismissal but go on standing guard over fairness and lawfulness", Sufadin Shibzukhov, father of one of the killed officers of law enforcement bodies whose words are quoted on the web-site of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Kabardino-Balkaria, said.
