ICA urges Russian authorities to facilitate return of 115 Circassians from Syria

Today, the city of Nalchik has hosted an enlarged sitting of the International Circassian Association (ICA), which adopted an appeal to the leadership of Russia to help in return of 115 Circassians living in Syria to their historic homeland.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt from Mukhamed Khafitse, Deputy Chairman of the ICA, that "the appeal refers to only those 115 Circassians, who had addressed some time ago to the leaders of Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia."

"Touching the remaining Syrian compatriots without their own appeal to Russia is impossible," said Khafitse.
