A residential neighbourhood “Artstakh” put into operation in Nagorno-Karabakh

A residential neighbourhood “Artstakh” where families of the victims of Karabakh military conflict, servicemen of the Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh and full orphans received flats was put into operation in Stepanakert.

In particular, 91 families of lost servicemen, 54 families of the servicemen of the Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh and ten full orphans got new flats there.

The opening ceremony of the neighbourhood “Artstakh” was held on January, 4. The block consists of four five-storey buildings with 224 flats in Stepanakert. One of the buildings will be granted to officers of the Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh and the rest of the flats will be sold on the mortgage. 

“I went to see this block today, took photos of the buildings and walked around. It looks very nice, just a small micro-district, one can say. I decided to talk to some of the owners and take photos of a flat inside. They say everything is very fine and solid here, just come and live. The builders have done everything: tile, oak tile, ariston and all the necessary things for dwelling”, human rights activist Albert Voskanyan wrote in his photo blog on the “Caucasian Knot” and posted photos of the new neighbourhood.

“This block was built in the territory of a former furniture factory which was destroyed by bombing and burned down during the war”, the author reports.
