Residents of Khasavyurt help to prevent terror act

In Dagestan, sappers have neutralized a bomb planted in the city industrial zone of Khasavyurt. The information about an improvised explosive device (IED) came to the police from local residents.

"The IED looked like a metal barrel filled with 50 kilos of ammonium nitrate and aluminium powder and equipped with a remote detonator based on an F-1 grenade and a and radio station," the "Interfax"- quotes the press service of the FSB (Russian Federal Security Bureau) for Dagestan.

The area was cordoned off; a dog from the dog service has reacted to the presence of the explosive. At about 3:30 p.m., the bomb was neutralized by local FSB sappers with a help of a hydrodynamic destroyer.
