Head of alternative parliament released in Ingushetia

In Ingushetia, Idris Abadiev, Chairman of the alternative parliament, was released after detention by power agents from the Malgobek ROVD (District Interior Division).

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this morning militia men with the support of internal troops and members of other law enforcement agencies conducted a search in the house of Idris Abadiev, the well-known social activist, Chairman of the Mekhk-Kkhel. Idris Abadiev himself was brought by power agents to the town of Malgobek.

According to Idris Abadiev, power agents explained his detention and search in his home by the fact that his son was suspected of committing a crime that occurred in Kabardino-Balkaria. Idris Abadiev has stated that his son Islam Abadiev is a student of the MSU (Moscow State University) and is in Moscow at present.

Chairman of the Mekhk-Kkhel believes that his detention and search were caused by his public activities, and, in particular, by the fact that on December 28 the Mekhk-Kkhel held a conference, which adopted an appeal to the Ingush people.
