Chechnya: United Russia - 77%, People's Party - 6.3%, SPS - 4.4%

26.7% of the ballots in Chechnya's single-mandate constituency were counted by 8:00 Moscow time, December 8, reported Chairman of the Chechen Election Commission Abdul-Kerim Arsakhanov. Akhmar Zavgayev, the Federation Council Member, is in the lead with 57.7% of the vote. Bekkhan Hasbulatov, rector of the Chechen State Pedagogical Institute, has gathered 12.7% of the vote; Salambek Maigov, former envoy of Aslan Maskhadov, - 10.7%.

As for the election by party lists, 28.7% of the ballots were counted. The United Russia party is in the lead with 77% of the vote. The People's Party has 6.3%, and SPS -4.4%. Less than 1% of the voters voted "against all".
