In Sochi, woman-organizer of protests against election violations is summoned to police "for a talk"

Olga Noskovets, a resident of Sochi, one of the organizers of the sanctioned rally against violations at the elections to the State Duma held on December 4, which was scheduled for December 24, reported on the summon to the police.

The rally in Sochi is to be held near the "Primorskaya" (Seaside) Hotel at 2:00-3:30 p.m.

According to Olga Noskovets, today she has received summon from the district police inspector, stating that she must come to the police station today at 2:30 p.m. for a conversation. According to the woman, in the morning she saw near her house two persons, who were watching her house, and one of them was in police uniform.

Nikolai Agashkov, the police officer on duty of the Lazarevsky District, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he did not know for what reason Olga Noskovets was summoned; however, he added that the duty unit received no reports on violations of law committed by Olga Noskovets.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 17, Sochi also hosted the sanctioned picket against falsification of the results of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The picket was also organized by Olga Noskovets. The protest action was attended by members of the local branch of the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), the "Yabloko" Party, the public organization "Narodny Sobor" (People's Assembly), members of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus", human rights defenders Sergey Basmanov and Mikhail Vinyukov.

The protest action was watched by policemen from the Central District and from the UVD (Interior Department) of the city of Sochi. The event was held without incidents.
