Dismissal as instrument of putting pressure on electorate in Kabardino-Balkaria

The administration of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University gathered all the university staff in the rector's office, gave them a task to vote for the United Russia party, and threatened to dismiss those who would not follow the instruction, informed a university employee who preferred to remain unknown.

The declaration by the Deputy Minister of Education of Kabardino-Balkaria, Mr. Zhuravlyov, that teachers who support candidate Shkhagoshev will be dismissed is another example of overt administrative pressure.

Meanwhile, the same situation has arisen almost in every public institution, according to the source.
