Federal Security Service supposes that one of the men killed in a special operation in Karachay-Cherkessia is Islam Uzdenov

Department of Federal Security Service in Karachay-Cherkessia reported preliminary results of identification of those killed in a special operation on December, 19. Group leader of gunmen Islam Uzdenov is supposedly among those killed, FSS reports.

Secret address of the flat used by the members of the group was detected during operational search actions for finding the members of Islam Uzdenov’s group involved in assaults at the personnel of law enforcement bodies of Stavropol region and Karachay-Cherkessia during the period September to November, this year, Press secretary of the Department of FSS in KCR Anna Lyzina reported.

“According to preliminary data, ringleader of the gangsters’ group I. Uzdenov and active members of the group Murat Batchiev and Ruslan Kaitov were found in the flat”, “Interfax” quotes Anna Lyzina.

The sappers have started examination of the five-storey house in the settlement of Uchkiken, RIA “Novosti” reports referring to Kazim Baibanov acting as Head of Press service of the republican Ministry of Interior Affairs.

Islam Uzdenov had a wanted notice since the beginning of November for suspicion of two assaults and murder of two employees of the Ministry of Interior Affairs. Umar Baichorov, Denislam Semenov, Murat Batchiev (Khubiev), Ruslan Kusheterov and Denislam Karakotov got wanted notices together with him, “Northern Caucasus” referring to Press service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of KCR reports.
