A resident of Dagestan appeals to Public Chamber to help him call the murderers of his daughter-in-law to account

The criminal case of the fact of shooting down pregnant Sapiyat Magomedova by the policemen in 2006 was closed by Investigative Department (ID) of Committee of Inquiry of Russia (CIR) in Dagestan. This was reported by resident of the town of Khasavyurt Mamatkhan Baisultanov, the victim's father-in-law. He sent a letter to Head of Public Chamber of Dagestan Gamzat Gamzatov asking to help continue investigation.

"The other day I visited CI where I was handed a resolution of closing the criminal case. My pregnant daughter-in-law was shot down by the policemen. It emerges that today it is "impossible to establish who used arms during the special operation", the resolution runs although the court established that it was the personnel of Department of Interior Affairs of Kazbek district who fired", Mamatkhan Baisultanov said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He emphasized that he had appealed to many instances. "But it was all in vain. Now I wrote a letter to Public Chamber of the republic. Maybe they will help me at least here", the man says.

Public Chamber of Dagestan confirmed reception of the letter but ID CIR in Dagestan refused to provide any comments.

It should be reminded that earlier forensic ballistic expertise established that Baisultanov's son and daughter-in-law were shot down by militiamen of Kazbek district Department of Interior affairs. Magomedova died as a result of bullet wounding from a gun which was down in the name of Anas Satiraev.

According to Mamatkhan Baisultanov, investigation of the case on his statement was held up eleven times and eight investigators conducted it. Senior investigator of CIR in Dagestan Rustam Baulov refused to produce comments.
