Dagestani MIA: Rashid Shuaibov, declared as kidnapped, detained on suspicion of collaboration with militants

Rashid Shuaibov, whose disappearance was reported on December 7 by his relatives, was detained on suspicion of involvement in the Caspian group of militants led by Murad Abdurakhmanov. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan.

Let us remind you that, according to Subigat Gasanova, the Shuaibov's sister, her brother was driven away to some unknown destination in Makhachkala by unidentified armed people after unsanctioned search in his house, during which explosives were allegedly found.

The press service of the Dagestani MIA told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that, on December 7, the search in the house of Rashid Shuaibov had been conducted on the criminal case under Articles 317 (attempt on lives of law enforcement officers) and 222 (illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storage of firearms, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

According to the MIA, in the house and lot of Rashid Shuaibov, grenades and cartridge shells were found and seized. Rashid Shuaibov was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (grounds for detention of a suspect).

According to the preliminary information of the press service of the Dagestani MIA, Rashid Shuaibov is a member of the Caspian group of militants led by Murad Abdurakhmanov.

The MIA's press service also reported that they had not received information about the phase of the investigation and the whereabouts of Rashid Shuaibov.

Earlier, Subigat Gasanova stated that the search warrant had not been presented to anyone of the Shuaibov's relatives and that copies of the search protocol had not been given out. Subigat Gasanova has also emphasized that her brother was a strictly practicing Muslim, he married only two months ago, and he was not registered at the police station.

The MIA has not commented on the information.
