American Academy of Tourism awards Adzharia

On December 7, the city of Cannes hosted the annual awards ceremony of the American Academy of Tourism and Services. Georgia was represented by Adzharia, which won in three nominations at once.

Georgia participated in this contest for the first time. According to the Academy's decision, Batumi has won in the category of the best new resort city, and the Adzharian Autonomous Republic - in the category of the region most favourable for investors.

Levan Varshalomidze, Chairman of the Government of Adzharia, was awarded for innovative management, the IA "News-Georgia" reports.
