Woman from Makhachkala claims disappearance of her brother

On December 7, in the capital of Dagestan, unidentified armed men kidnapped Rashid Shuaibov, a resident of Makhachkala, and his whereabouts is still unknown. This was reported by his sister Subigat Gasanova, a resident of Makhachkala.

According to her, yesterday, in the morning of December 7, her brother and his wife drove to work, when in the vicinity of the village of Reduktorny the Rashid's car was stopped by another car.

"The unidentified armed men, who came out of the car, stated that they want to conduct a search in my brother's house. On his return home, Rashid saw that another 10 armed men drove to the house. He and his wife were taken into a room for questioning, and several men went into the bedroom. Then, Rashid was invited to the bedroom where he was shown explosives, which had been allegedly found there. Then, he was brought to some unknown destination; his relatives visited all the city OVDs (Interior Divisions); however, they failed to find my brother," told Subigat Gasanova to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The woman believes that the explosives had been planted to her brother, and the very search process had been conducted with numerous violations.

"They failed to introduce the search warrant and to give out copies of the search protocol, and that is against the law," stated Subigat Gasanova.

The woman said that she had already filed a complaint to the investigatory department of the Lenin District of Makhachkala and to other institutions.

Subigat Gasanova has emphasized that her brother is a strictly practicing Muslim, he got married only two months ago, and he was not registered at the police station.

The press service of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they knew nothing about the incident.
