Public prosecutor's office in Switzerland suspects Chechen businessman Bulat Chagaev of swindle

Local Public prosecutor's office in Geneva suspects of swindle Chechen businessman Bulat Chagaev, ex-Vice President of "Terek" club, presently President of Swiss football club "Xamax".

According to Swiss mass media, on October, 8, searches were carried out and documents impounded in the offices of three companies Chagaev owns.

In particular, Chagaev is suspected of forging a certificate of the Bank of America which the businessman has been using already two months in order to prove that he had funds for maintenance of the club at his disposal, "Gazeta.ru" referring to "Tsr.ch" reports.

Chagaev produced this document in the court of the town of Neuchatel where a complaint of football agent Ralph Isenegger against the club was under consideration. The claimant states that "Xamax" has not paid him 400 thousand Swiss francs due according to an agreement and seeks declaring the club bankrupt, "Sport-Express" reports.

Bulat Chagaev himself gives a flat refusal of commenting on the incident, "Commersant" informs.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that at the end of August a conflict emerged between Chagaev and the authorities of Neuchatel where "Xamax" club belonging to the Chechen businessman is located. Chagaev threatened that he would move his team from Neuchatel to Geneva or Lausanne.

The news of purchasing "Xamax" football club by Bulat Chagaev appeared on May, 7. Immediately after the transaction a scandal flared up in the country: Bulat Chagaev submitted a lawsuit against a local teacher of literature who declared a dubious origin of the entrepreneur's money.

At the end of August Swiss mass media published some materials stating that Chagaev threatened with violence to the players of the club.

According to Khaidar Alkhanov, Vice President of "Terek", Bulat Chagaev was dismissed from "Terek" club upon the instruction of Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov for non-fulfilling his financial obligations.
