A person wounded as a result of a grenade explosion in Volgograd

One person got injured in the afternoon of October, 8, as a result of an explosion in a flat of a dwelling house in Volgograd, a source in law enforcement bodies of the city reported.

The cause of the explosion was carelessness in handling the fuse of a grenade.

The ambulance took the victim to municipal hospital. An F-1 grenade was impounded from the site of the incident. Members of power ministries are currently establishing the source of obtaining the ammunition, RIA "Novosti" reports.

It should be pointed out that this has not been the only incident with the use of a grenade in the region this month.

On November, 4, law enforcement personnel reported that a local resident in Mikhailovsky district who was according to preliminary data in a state of alcohol intoxication attempted to explode a dwelling house with a hand grenade. The man tried to throw the grenade into a window in the ground floor but it bounced back from the grid and exploded the moment when there was no one nearby, "Volgograd Times" reports.

On October, 28, four F-1 grenades of the period of the Great Patriotic War were found in the house of a fifty-three-years-old resident on the settlement of Karpovka, Gorodishensky district. The owner of the arms stated that he had found the grenades in the field, "Rodnoy Gorod Volgograd" reports.

On October, 26, a thirty-four-years-old unemployed local resident was detained in Popopv homestead, Volgograd region, for illegal sale of two grenades: RGD-5 and F-1, "V1.ru" informs.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported cases of grenade explosion in the region, their victims and injured persons.

On July, 14, two natives of Uzbekistan got injured as a result of an explosion of the fuse of a combat grenade, supposedly of the period of the Great Patriotic War, in Sredneakhtubinsky district of Volgograd region. On May, 10, a person perished because of an explosion of a home-made explosive device in Volgograd. On May, 6, a resident of Volgograd became victim of an explosion of a grenade of the period of the Great Patriotic War.
