In Karachay-Cherkessia, a local finds backpack with a bomb and is wounded by a blast

In the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia, a local resident affected by explosion of an improvised explosive device planted in a backpack which had been abandoned in the mountains. This was reported by a source in the law enforcement agencies of the region.

The incident occurred in the Malokarachay District of Karachay-Cherkessia on November 6.

The resident of the village of Uchkeken found in the mountains two abandoned backpacks; and at the moment when the man tried to inspect the contents of his findings, the explosion occurred.

The man was hospitalized with injuries, the GRTK (State TV and Radio Channel) "Stavropolye" reports.

The law enforcement agencies do not exclude that a bomb could be planted by the suspects of the attack on policemen in Karachay-Cherkessia and Stavropol Territory, the agency "Interfax-Yug" reports.
