Authors of "White Book of Terror" declare in Kabardino-Balkaria that Russia fails to register victims of terror

Nowhere in Russia, no victims of terror acts have been registered, and the fact that nobody cares of the victims is awful. This was emphasized by the authors of the project "White Book of Terror" at the presentation held at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 23 and 26 in North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria, presentations of "White Book of Terror" were held.

According to Andrei Khudoleev, the project's author, the aim of the project is "to show terrorism as a phenomenon, which breaks people's lives and affects the historical perspective of the entire nations. This is a tribute to the deceased and appeal to the living people."

"Last year, when the competition for the grant of Russian President was announced, we gathered young people; we talked with people witnessed terror acts. A lot of them! And I have been surprised that nobody keeps track of victims, and the fact that nobody cares of the victims is awful. When the subway train had been blown up at the "Lubyanka" station, (explosions in Moscow subway occurred on March 29, 2010, - note of the "Caucasian Knot"), people came and carried flowers to the wall, and they did not even hang portraits of the dead persons. Nobody even ever thought about that. A year has passed; however, still no sign on the committed terror act has been hung," Andrei Khudoleev said.

He reported that on May 25, when all schools meet the last bell, schoolchildren of the tenth form from the school No. 1 in Beslan (on September 1, 2004, a group of terrorists seized 1128 hostages at a school in the North Ossetian town of Beslan. The terror act killed 186 children and 145 adults, - note of the "Caucasian Knot") go to the cemetery and tie ribbons on the graves of the children could not finish school with their classmates.

"On this day, all TV channels broadcast on the last bell and show happy faces of children; however, no TV channel ever showed that sad human act. This fact proves that the holiday is more important for the people than the memory of the slain children of Beslan," Andrei Khudoleev has noted.

The project's author has also emphasized that terrorism has no nationality. The fact is that someone needs to focus on nationality and religion. Meanwhile, an assassinator is also a terrorist.

Khakim Gegraev, the head of the educational work department of the KBSU, has emphasized that the project is actual and important not only for the region of our country, but also for the entire world.

In his speech, Magomed Aliev, ex-student of the KBSU, stated that the presentation of the book had already been held in different regions of Russia: Chechen Republic, Dagestan, North Ossetia-Alania, and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District.

According to him, the discussion in Arkhangelsk and Tomsk Regions are being held in parallel with the presentation in Nalchik, and, in the nearest future, the book will be presented in other regions of the North Caucasus.

"A lot of professional people had been working at this book for a year; however, the book contains less than even one hundredth part of the material that had been collected," stated Magomed Aliev.

The project has been developed by the team of authors led by Andrei Khudoleev, President of the Development Centre of Youth Parliamentarism in Russia. The book, published due to the funds from the Presidential grant, describes all terror acts committed in Russia.

The book will be distributed among libraries and public organizations of the country.
