Otrokov: the young people of Rostov region consider unemployment and lack of dwelling the major problems

The lack of jobs, dwellings and conditions for entrepreneurial activity are the point of the greatest concern of young people in Rostov region. According to Oleg Otrokov, Chairman of Youth Government of the region, these problems were discussed at a round table conference and directed to parliamentary candidates of State Duma for consideration.

"All the questions the youth of Rostov region are concerned about were spoken about during a round table conference devoted to summing up the results of meetings of institutions of youth self-government with the young people of Don in Rostov-on-Don on November, 3. In particular, in October 221 meetings were held in the region, over 11 thousand young people participated in it, 143 questions were received from the participants", Oleg Otrokov said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to him, meetings with the young people passed off in every rural settlement of Verkhedonskoy, Volgodonsky, Dubovsky, Zavetinsky, Zernogradsky, Zimovnikovsky, Kashirski and Semikarakorsky districts. "No less than 5 meetings were held in every urban settlement as well as in every district of the city of Rostov-on-Don", Chairman of Youth Government informed adding that the participants of the round table marked out the questions most significant for the young people of the region to put before the institutions of state authority.

"They included the necessity of adoption of a law "On the youth of the Russian Federation", the lack of jobs for young specialists, the need for increasing the scale of building state and municipal dwellings, including the ones for the young families, as well as creating conditions for youth entrepreneurial activity", Otrokov continued.

The participants of the meeting also emphasized improper work of youth organizations of Novocherkassk and suggested the regional Youth Government to organize a series of meetings with the young people. "We are already working at preparation and organization of a meeting with the young people in Novocherkassk and will announce its time and place as soon as possible", Yury Leskin, Deputy Chairman of the Youth Government of Don, said.

"The round table conference passed off in a friendly atmosphere. All the participants shared their experience of contacts with the young people and the results of meetings in their towns or villages. A live dialogue was established and all the suggestions on improving the quality of work with the young were based upon practical experience of each participant", Chairman of the Youth Government of Taganrog Kirill Bondarenko said.
