"Caucasian Knot" is one of most frequently quoted Runet resources

The Internet medium "Caucasian Knot" has entered the top ten most quoted news sources of the Russian Internet. These are the results of the research for October conducted by the company "Medialogy".

According to the report of the independent Russian research company "Medialogy", last month the "Caucasian Knot" gained "the most significant move by quoting in the Internet." In October, the Internet resource gained 22 positions at once and entered the top 10 positions of the appropriate category of the ranking. The website took the tenth place with a quoting index of 82.48.

According to the "Medialogy", the interest to the "Caucasian Knot" arouse due to, primarily, its highlighting of "the scandalous events on the eve of the presidential election in South Ossetia."

Let us note that in February 2011 the "Caucasian Knot" occupied the 6th place in the ranking of the media, which had been the most frequently quoted by TV channels and radio stations. This was connected with the publication of the video message of a Dagestani native Ramazan Utarbiev, who was suspected of involvement in a fight in Kronstadt Boulevard, resulting in the death of Yegor Sviridov, a fan of the "Spartak" FC.

In April 2010, the "Caucasian Knot" gained the 8th place in the ranking prepared by the company "Medialogy". In May and July 2010, the "Caucasian Knot" occupied the 9th and the 7th places in the rankings, respectively.

Let us note that in October the "Gazeta.ru" became the leader of quoting by the printed media, TV channels and radio stations; news agencies, Internet resources and blogosphere most frequently quoted the "Lenta.Ru". In October, the "Grani.ru" gained 18 positions at once and entered the top 10 resources which were most frequently quoted by TV channels and radio stations. This rise in the ranking was connected with the resonant topic of the story in the programme "Central Television" which was removed from the air by the management of the NTV Channel. The authors of the story told about torture and kidnappings in Chechnya.
