An action "Plant your tree" going on in Vladikavkaz

Within the framework of an ecologic action "Plant your tree" 40 thousand trees and 1,5 million flowers have been planted in Vladikavkaz since the beginning of this year. Young plants of fir-trees, pine-trees, thuya, birch-trees, maple trees and various bushes were planted in the capital of North Ossetia.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that the action of planting trees was initiated by Mayor of the town Sergey Dzantiev last year. Over three thousand trees were planted in recreation zones then.

The action is going on in 2011, too. About seven thousand residents of the town of different ages and professions have taken part in it, web-site of Vladikavkaz Administration reports.

The present stage of the action will be over at the end of November. By this time residents of the town under the guidance of municipal unitary enterprise "Zelenstroy" are planning to plant 5 more thousand trees and 40 thousand bushes. The streets, courtyards and recreation zones of the town will be also decorated with 5 thousand roses of various sorts, "Interfax-Yug" reports.

It should be mentioned that the level of landscape gardening of Vladikavkaz exceeded stipulated standards by three times.
