A resident of Grozny called Emir of Argun by members of the top brass arrested in Dagestan

Israil Yakhyaev, resident of Grozny who was detained on October, 19, and turned out to be one of the leaders of armed underground is arrested, Committee of Inquiry (CI) of Dagestan reported.

"During investigative actions it was established that Yakhyaev had played the role of a so-called Emir of the Chechen town of Argun in the hierarchy of gangsters' underground", a representative of Investigative Department of CI said.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on October, 19, members of power ministries detained the twenty-three-years-old native of Grozny Israil Yakhyaev who then opened fire at the policemen from a hand gun wounding one of them in the neighbourhood of the settlement of Agvali, Tsumadinsky district.

On Saturday, October, 22, "the court sanctioned Yakhyaev's arrest. He is suspected of committing grave and especially grave crimes", "Interfax" quotes a representative of CI of Dagestan.

The position of the prisoner or his representatives is yet unknown.

It should be reminded that four policemen were also wounded as a result of an assault at a duty detail of Road Patrol Service in Kayakent district of Dagestan.
