Regular soldier arrested in Nagorno-Karabakh on fact of his colleague's death

The regular soldier Martin Zakaryan was detained in Nagorno-Karabakh on the criminal case of the suicide of Corporal Vladimir Asatryan. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Armenia.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported that on October 9 the 19-year-old Vladimir Asatryan, the regular soldier, had committed suicide: he had shot himself with a machine gun when being on combat duty. A criminal case was initiated under Article "incitement to suicide".

According to the Ministry of Defence, on October 20, Martin Zakaryan was detained on charges of committing a crime under Part 1, Article 360 of the Criminal Code of Armenia "abuse of a serviceman, that is, humiliation in an indecent form of honour and dignity of a serviceman by another serviceman, in connection with the performance of military duties", the "News-Armenia" (News-Armenia) reports.

The preliminary investigation into the case is underway, the "NEWS.am" reports.
