In Makhachkala, prosecutor's office finds illegal migrants in construction site near "Russian cemetery"

Today, in the capital of Dagestan, at the construction site of residential buildings near the so-called "Russian cemetery", the city prosecutor's office has detected 17 workers from Vietnam and Azerbaijan, who had no work permits. Despite the court ruling to suspend the construction, the houses are being built.

The illegal workers were detected on October 7, when Makhachkala prosecutors and policemen visited the "Russian cemetery". They saw with their eyes that the active construction continued, despite the court's prohibition.

"The prosecutor's office had petitioned to ban construction until the end of the proceedings. There is a definition of the Soviet District Court of Makhachkala to ban construction, which was not appealed against. In spite of this, the developers, by violating the law, continue building and have already erected seven floors," Madina Gadjimuradova, Senior Assistant of the Makhachkala Public Prosecutor, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, she visits the site almost every week; but she failed to find the developers there.

Today, law enforcers detected migrants from Vietnam and Azerbaijan at the construction site, who worked without due permits. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by the police that they detained 14 citizens of Azerbaijan and 3 citizen of Vietnam. According to eyewitnesses, about 20 Vietnamese, seeing law enforcers, escaped from the construction site.

Let us note here that the next session on the lawsuit of the prosecutor's office on the illegal construction of a residential house near the "Russian cemetery" will take place on October 13. The previous session, scheduled for October 6, failed because of absence of developers' representatives.
