Relatives of soldier deceased in Sochi reject the version of his suicide

The relatives of Dmitry Neborak, a regular soldier, who died in an army unit in Sochi, refuse to accept the version of the investigation that he had committed suicide.

The fact that the 19-year-old Dmitry Neborak, who served as a recruit in the military unit No. 3662 of internal troops in the Khosta District of Sochi, committed suicide on October 4, was reported by the MIA of the Krasnodar Territory. A source in the Southern Military District Prosecutor's Office has suggested that the reason could be in hazing practiced in the unit.

Dmitry Neborak was drafted in July from the Ulyanovsk Region. According to investigators, the suicide occurred when the soldier was on his patrol duty.

Dmitry shot himself in the head from a submachine gun, the "Interfax" reports.

The doctors who arrived to the place of the incident said that the wound was incompatible with life.

On the fact of Dmitry Neborak's death, a criminal case was initiated under the article of "incitement to suicide" (Article 110 of the Russian Criminal Code), the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" writes with reference to Natikh Dadjimetov, the head of the PR department of the Southern Military District Prosecutor's Office.

Meanwhile, relatives of the perished soldier are confident that he could not commit suicide.

"On the eve of the accident, Dmitry called us from the unit; he was in a good mood, seemed happy and cheerful. Anyway, he liked his service there. My brother couldn't commit suicide! We're sure in was not suicide," the "Vesti Sochi" quotes Dmitri's sister Ekaterina as saying.

Now, the military unit No. 3662 is checked. The case was passed over to investigators of the garrison military prosecutor's office in Sochi.
