In Nagorno-Karabakh, participants of the action "Peace with Children's Eyes" painted their vision of peace in the republic

Nagorno-Karabakh has held an action "Peace with Children's Eyes" with the aim to express protest against war and conflict with the help of coloured crayons and paints.

The action has united two projects: "Combatants for Peace", where adults took part, and "How you vision peace on earth" – for children, Narine Grigoryan, the organizer of the action, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Adults express their vision of peace through painting on T-shirts, posters, drawings on their faces and hands, and through their statements. Children paint on paper or with coloured crayons on asphalt," said Narine.

One of the participants of the action said, commenting her picture, that it is very important for people to feel safe when looking at pictures.

"I painted blue mountains. I love this colour. It is important that everyone around feel safe. Mountains for them should not be black or brown; they should be blue and calm," said the student Liana Pogosyan.

The mother of the nine-year-old participant Gevorg Arutyunyan said that she finds it very important that her son was growing up in peacetime. "We were invited to participate in this event, because my son is always drawing pictures about peace. For me the most important is that he doesn't know what the war is," said Armine Arutyunyan.

The organizers of the action plan to hold a large-scale exhibition of children's drawings and publish an album-calendar.
