    Vyacheslav Tikhomirov: federal forces in Chechnya change tactics of fight against kamikaze terrorist

    The federal forces in Chechnya change their tactics of counteraction to terrorist acts, including those with the use of kamikaze terrorists, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Interior Troops General Vyacheslav Tikhomirov announced in Khankala on Friday, at a conference of the headquarters of the United Forces in the North Caucasus.

    According to him, a special emphasis in this work will be laid on the disclosure of persons connected with armed units and on the prevention of terrorist acts in the stage of their preparation.

    Rebels are not active today, they "build up reserves to continue their resistance", Mr. Tikhomirov said, commenting on the situation in Chechnya.
