Suspects of using slave labour at "Artex-Agro" detained in Krasnodar Territory

In the Kuschevskaya District, Krasnodar Territory, two persons have been detained within the criminal investigation into the use of slave labour at the Limited Liability Company (LLC) "Artex-Agro", which was headed by the mother of Sergey Tsapok, the alleged participant in the massacre committed in the village of Kuschevskaya, the press service of the Investigatory Department for the Krasnodar Territory of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

Let us remind you that the criminal investigation into the use of slave labour with violence and confiscation of personal documents (points "a", "d" and "e", Part 2, Article 127.2, of the Russian Criminal Code) at the agricultural enterprise "Artex-Agro" was initiated on December 16, 2010, under the application of the victims - citizens of Ukraine Svetlana Borka, 29, and Zita Weiss, 32.

As a result of investigatory and search operations, involvement in the crime of two persons was established - a 54-year-old woman-citizen of Ukraine and a 51-year-old resident of the Kuschevskaya District, who worked as a locksmith at the LLC "Artex-Agro", the RIA Novosti reports.

According to investigators, for 6-7 years, the detained woman was in charge of arrival and registration in Russia of Ukrainian citizens for work at the LLC "Artex-Agro". Labour contracts were concluded with foreign workers; and they were paid their wages.

However, in late April 2010, 12 persons came from Ukraine to Kuschevskaya to work at the above enterprise; and their passports were taken away from them. This time, the labour of foreigners was not legalized; and in case they refused to continue staying in Russia and working, the above locksmith used to beat them.

Now, in respect of the detained man, putting him in custody is considered; as to the woman, she is under the recognizance not to leave. The criminal investigation continues, the "Yugopolis" reports.

The position of the detainees was not disclosed.
